How do small birds survive a snowstorm? Where do they hide?

As many of you know, the east coast is getting walloped with a lot of snow. Today in the Boston area, there will be blizzard like conditions for a few hours. As I was looking out my window, I saw a couple of cute small birds on the branches. Where will they hide when this windy snowstorm hits?
It is natural for them to hide, they find places so they do not catch the storm chimneys or bushes the bush in my front yard is crazy the chirping is unreal there must be 100 birds in there funny..they find warm places..thats why you see people putting food out on the snow they can’t dig so maybe you can put a bird feeder out its fun…
